Your First Appointment

The first appointment will be for the two of you together. Successful marriage counseling has to start with both people together. You must both be there from the very beginning. That's the way for you both to be assured that your therapy is impartial, not one- sided. This is very important.

Most of your weekly marriage counseling appointments will be 90 minutes long. On occasion, I may recommend a three-hour appointment. If I feel a longer session would be helpful, I will discuss that with you in advance.

Our waiting room is a private place for the two of you. We have only two chairs in our waiting room. Nobody else will be there when you are. We ensure your privacy by scheduling appointments so that you will not have to share the waiting room with other people.
